Analysis of Parallel Resonance

For Parallel Resonance Condition:

  1. Impedance is maximum and net reactance is zero.
  2. Current is minimum.
  3. Applied voltage is in phase with current.
  4. Power factor is unity So that the total apparent power is equal to the average power dissipated by the resistor.

For Parallel Resonance: IL = IC
If  RL = RC;
XL = XC
Or 2π= 1/2πfC
fs = 1/2πrootover LC
